About the event
Intro to Rope / Corde Lisse / Spanish Web Workshop
Curious about aerial rope? This workshop is an introduction to rope (corde lisse) and Spanish web, two classic circus apparatuses that focus on climbing, strength, wraps, and dynamic movement in the air. Unlike aerial silks, rope has no fabric to support you, making this a great challenge for students who want to build grip strength, endurance, and body control.
This workshop is designed for students with prior aerial experience who are ready to try a new apparatus in a safe, coached environment. We will cover basic climbs, positions, simple skills, and how rope and web differ from fabric.
Pre-requisites to attend:
Must be able to hold a straight-arm hang for 30 seconds
Must be able to climb to the top of an aerial fabric safely
