Frequently Asked Questions

Interested in trying aerial silks, but still feel uncertain? Or did you book your first class and want to make sure you are prepared. Don't worry - we compiled some frequently asked questions that should help you get started! Have a additional questions? Contact us!

Where are you located, and how do I get into the building?

Our aerial gym is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota near downtown off of Cliff Avenue. Our address is 1200 E 3rd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57103. You can most easily get to us by parking in the south-facing parking lot of the Global Square building. Enter through door E and the studio will be right on the right-hand side of the hallway.

What should I wear to my first aerial class?

We recommend wearing tight-fitting pants and a t-shirt or tank top. More tight-fitting clothing is less likely to get tangled in the fabrics. We also require all students to take off all jewelry, including rings, bracelets and dangling earrings. The ensures of fabrics do not rip and stay safe.

What strength/flexibility is required to get started?

There are absolutely no requirements to getting started with aerial arts. We make classes accessible to individuals of all fitness levels and ages. We work with you to build the strength and flexibility you need to succeed. We have had many students start with little-to-no fitness experience who have thrived (and have fun) doing aerial classes!

Is there a weight limit on your equipment?

Our aerial fabrics can hold over 2,000 pounds. They are safe for individuals or all shapes and sizes, and even can hold multiple aerialists at a time. Our rigging is attached to steel beams and is inspected regularly.

What class/classes do you recommend for complete beginners?

We recommend that all students take at least one Intro to Aerial Silks class before attending an aerial open gym or beginner class. Our Tuesday Intro class is a progressive class that will teach you the basic wraps, climbs and drops over a 6-week time period. This class helps you ease your way in to aerial in a safe and less intimidating way.

Who can attend your aerial classes and open gyms?

Our classes and open gyms are open to all adults of all genders that are 18+. We want to create an environment where adults feel comfortable learning and practicing aerial skills. Individuals under 18 are welcome to schedule private lessons and attend private group lessons (at the discretion of the organizer).

Do you offer private lessons or small group parties/sessions?

Yes - we absolutely offer private lessons/small group lessons! Contact us for availability for private lessons and small group parties, and we will get back to you with available dates and times.
