Aerial Performance Team Tryouts - Open to Ages 6-18

Tryout to be a part of South Dakota Aerial & Arts first-ever youth aerial performance and competition team! Joining this team will give you the opportunity to learn aerial sling, aerial silks and lyra. You will get opportunities to perform in group pieces, solos and compete. Your coaches will help you build choreography and grow your aerial skills. Our competition team will meet on Mondays and Thursday from 6:15-7:15 PM. If there is additional interest, we may add another team session. 

When signing up, you can choose a seasonal session (August 26 - December 15) or a full session (August 26 - December 15 & January 6 - May 25 [note, extensions may apply if students want to continue through summer or compete at Aerialympics Nationals - July 8-13, 2025]). Discounts will be applied to students who choose a full season session. 

Important dates: 

- November 2-3 - Aerialympics Regionals - Warped Studios - Sheboygan, WI (optional - virtual and in-person options available)

- November 8-10 - The Dakota Aerial Championship - South Dakota Aerial & Arts aerial competition

- December 2024 - date TBD - Fall Performance Showcase

- February/March 2025 - Black Hills Aerial Cup, Box Elder

- April 5-6, 2025 - Aerialympics Regionals - Aerial City Texas - San Antonio, TX (optional - virtual and in-person options available)

- May 2025 - South Dakota Aerial & Arts Spring Showcase

- July 8-13, 2025 - Aerialympics Nationsls - Kansas City, Missouri (invitees only)

*Additional small performance opportunities may be given to individual performers throughout the course of the year by invite by the South Dakota Aerial & Arts professional performance troupe.
